So sad to hear of the passing of blues man Little Whitt Wells. Please listen here to Whitt doing his thing. He was born in Ralph and did his own thing and as a partner with the duo Little Whitt and Big Bo. He was born Jolly Wells, February 19, 1931 in Ralph, Alabama and Big Bo. He played the backwoods juke joints, house parties in Tuscaloosa Co., Festivals like City Stages, Tuscaloosas City Fest. and more as well as two European tours. Like most grass roots real deal blues men, he worked hard at a day job while playing music on the side. He retired and in 1995 was discovered and released his first recording Moody Swamp blues to critical acclaim. As a musician he was a living testimony to the richness of Alabama blues culture. I wiill share more as more is known please see link to music and bio information. Rest in peace Whitt and thank you for sharing your music. I will never forget the times I was able to spend with Whitt playing shows here in Alabama and on tour all over England, Scotland, Ireland, Belgium Germany.
