So, serious question for ...Well. For everyone. One of the common refrains I hear when it comes to any discussion about wage-levels is, Youre working a minimum wage job! Thats not a career! Move up! Get a better job! The problem I have with that is...what if...and hear me out, okay...what if we DONT actually live in a world where theres an endless supply of high- (or even mid-) wage paying jobs? What if...and I know this is utterly crazy talk, but, follow me here, what IF we might live in a world where theres only a very few mid-level wage jobs...a very VERY few high-paying jobs...and...well...a crap ton of instant, part-time , low-wage McJobs? Hypothetically speaking, if we lived in such a crazy world as that...what should we do?
