So she doesnt believe shes a feminist because shes never experienced it herself. Kinda not really the point though is it, its about recognizing the inequalities and believing that they are wrong and should be corrected. More about acknowledgement in what is wrong and that things should change. Feminism as an idea only works if there is prejudice and inequality still happening in the world, otherwise it loses all its meaning and the word becomes obsolete. I havent experienced racism in my life but I can see that it happens to people around the world and have the humanity and empathy to believe that it should not be happening nor should it ever have been. Privilege and ignorance do not make something disappear, on the contrary, ignorance is what allows this behavior to continue. I dont know whether this was poorly thought out or if she thought what she was saying was trivial but she has succeeded in trivializing a struggle she would not be where she was without. Please dont subject people you may influence with your vacuousness views that single-handedly take our social evolution back one hundred years. I do agree with one thing though, you should be in the kitchen because everything you say should go straight down the sink.
