So since Im still having to stay on Facebook during this portion of the fast, I figured Id go ahead and share the amazing things God is doing!!!! He is so intimate, good, and such a patient faithful Father. First and foremost, He has been MAJORLY speaking to my heart regarding relationships, priorities, and my future calling. Who knew that He would have SO much to say if wed only take our faces out of our screens, prioritize our lives, truly put others first, and devote some true one-on-one time to sit at His feet and listen to His voice??? He is always moving. He is always speaking. Yes, to YOU! And He loves to do so. He has so much to say... I was blessed to able to spend some time with an elderly woman named Miriam. She has been through so much in her life, yet maintains such a peace and offers invaluable wisdom to my young years. And, even being young, I was able to offer her prayer, a renewed sense of hope, encouragement, and insight to the amazing things God is doing now in this generation!! Long story short, the relationship become God-ordained and very fulfilling. God entrusts you with real precious human relationships when you decide to refrain from the false intimacy of social media and open yourself up to not only seek friendship, but freely give it as well. She invited me to a small prayer gathering at a tiny boutique/craft shop in a tiny town. There were only about 10-15 who had gathered there, not knowing what to expect from these owners who apparently loved to pray for people. I admit, I was expectant, but definitely not prepared for the way God was about to move. These people were true devout lovers of the Lord and His Presence, dedicating their lives to running their little shop and opening it up for prayer gatherings so they could not only practice their amazing gift of prophecy, but genuinely hear what God had to say to peoples hearts and watch them transform before their eyes! The prophecy given to me was beyond what these mere words could express, but Ill try it anyways! They were careful to warn us not to cast our pearls before swine, or in other words, go telling people who would discourage or take away from the valuable-ness of the words. But I know many of you on my site would honestly appreciate hearing it, and probably get something out of it as well! They said many amazing things that moved my heart, but the one I wanted to focus on was further confirmation of my calling!! They said that I would be able to travel to many places, work on the mission field, and bring the hope and healing of God to many people (particularly children) who had been sick and struggling. This was amazing since I didnt know them at all and its exactly what Im being called to do! They also went on to say that there would be many times as I headed toward this calling that I would question how I would get there. Which is completely true, as Ive been telling many many people. How will the finances be provided? How and which ministries or people should I get in touch with? How will I find a team of people? They said God saw all of these, particularly how I desire to be on a TEAM of people and care for the orphans. This blew me out of the water, since I just wrote a paper about starting a solo career verses working on a team, and how I honestly desired to partner alongside of other missionaries, church builders, and healthcare providers. They assured me that God saw this, and He already knew my questions, and that He wanted me to rest assured that HE WAS going to take care of it. As much as I knew that in my head, my heart so desperately needed to be reminded of this. And it was such a message of personal assurance and peace from the Lord from these faithful vessels whom Ive never met. They also spoke on the fact that the Lord has gifted me with compassion and nurturing, and that they saw me working with orphans and being surrounded by many, possibly even adopting or staying with them at some point in my life!!! And that, with all Hes brought me through, I will be able to use my hands not only for worship, but to spread the gift of healing to all of those who so badly need it in other countries! This turned into an entire blog entry on Facebook, but it has literally been one of the most specific and encouraging prophetic words I have ever heard. These people met me for 2 seconds, but it goes to show how incredibly in control God is over this whole situation. While I knew a year ago that I was on this path to fulfill this deep passion and calling God has placed in my heart to work with the orphans, I never once gave it second thought or asked for more confirmation. Recently, I have been diving into worship, school, work, and side projects. It is all preparation for this, I know, but sometimes along the way we can get so caught up in the small things and forget how SOVEREIGN and how BIG God is. And how He holds the WHOLE picture and goes before us to literally open/close the correct doors and prepare the way. I have never been in such a peaceful state of excitement and readiness for the fulfillment of everything! Its not a momentary high or a mountaintop experience, but a deep knowing and passion that is driving every small step and detail along this journey. For all that have stuck with me reading this, youre awesome! And I hope this encourages you as well, because it is the SAME concept for you! For all His beloved ones :)) And on a side note, I highly recommend fasting from social media and just spend time sitting with God instead. Amazing things can apparently come from long-term small steps and changes. Just had to share and hope this blesses someone today!!!!!! #Godissogood
