So since the cambelt was changed on my 164 cloverleaf there has been a steady increasing oil leak, traced to the cam cover gasket, as I had a spare set of covers available Id cleaned them up ready for paint some time ago, Ive been working towards pulling the covers and dealing with the oil leak as well as replacing the old covers with a freshly painted set, adding pictures to the 164 cloverleaf album of the work but for now here is a video showing what I feel is excessive use of sealant, even had difficulty pushing the plug key into place due to the over abundance of sealant. The seals on the ends of the cam covers completely missing and replaced by you guessed it sealant. Lesson being buy the right parts to do the job properly, if we work on any cars we make sure we buy the parts designed by the manufacturer to do the job.
