So some of you have probably heard of Compartment Syndrome, or maybe even had it yourself... But what exactly is it? Compartment Syndrome is basically a build up of increased pressure within a confined body area or compartment of muscles and nerves, usually the lower leg or the forearm. Compartment syndrome can result in pain, swelling, and increased pressure to the extent that it completely hinders the flow of blood, and therefore also oxygen and nutrients, to the affected area.
