So someone told me (why didnt you tell me to buy DD during IPO?!?!!!?) Consensus is always hindsight when there are these occurrences. We try to manage risk. We dont know the future. When Puregold made an iPo at 12, I can argue with the growth to Value all those additional 100 stores in the next four years! Does that rationalize a 50% jump on the first day? Even If its a longterm growth story ? No one values things 6 years forward! Most analysis is 1-2 years only. Okay, I get it- I know Im wrong- branded management, very low float (think 570 million shares and then Henry Sy even gets a huge amount of these shares and theres nothing left to the 14x oversubscribed public) I totally missed sentiment analysis! The astounding price action in the opening- should have triggered a buy even if a very limited limited amount. (Full disclosure I bought 2.60 then stupidly sold 2.68- yes tanga. I didnt get the 2 iPo either.) Thank you market for your numerous lessons to me. Lets be clear. Hindsight is always 20/20.
