So sorry to give you sad news early in the day but we have to move fast. These three dogs (in first three photos) in the pound we started helping thru feeding Thursday died due to malnutrition or starvation or an unknown illness. Admin Ana Marie Cruz, Save ALLs pound coordinator provided these photos and a report yesterday, The admin team met online and we discussed the many things we have to do to help the dogs in the said pound. The tasks are quite enormous. But we are optimistic we can help as many as we can thru the help of members and volunteers. We are still not disclosing the location here as there are dogs there that unscrupulous people can get and sell. I hope you can continue to trust us. We have agreed on the following: 1. We will do once a day feeding using dog food EVERYDAY for 30 days para mahabol ung mahahabol in terms of weakness and malnutrition Then we reassess if kaya ituloy ng another 30 days. We cant promise forever due to lack of funds as you know. But we will save as many as we can thru means available to us. 2. We will give coco nectar to the dogs as immune system booster . WE are also urging the person who prepares the rice with corn daily food nila to put malunggay. We also provided rosemary and apple cider vinegar for the cook to put inthe said food. 3. We have contacted a vet to help assess the situation and what can still be done. 4. Finish a letter containing suggestions to improve pound conditions and then set that meeting with the mayor to discuss what Save ALL can do, and what the local government can do. 5. Area needs a. pest control b. disinfecting In sum, there are a lot of things to do for the dogs in this pound. In the meantime, we only have 4 donations of dog food, and i bought 5 more from the general fund. We use up 1.5 bags or 30 kilos a day, according to Ana Marie. Nandun na ang 5 bags. Ana Marie, Jonathan, two other volunteers can do the daily feeding muna but we will need volunteers soon. Oct. 5 officially ang pasok sana ng volunteers. We want to give them a bath to remove the ticks and fleas. Photos 4, 5, 7 8 9 show four dogs who need immediate help. Hindi ko na pinakita sa inyo ung iba kasi baka ma overwhelm kayo sa lungkot. Suffice it to say madaming dogs ang nangangailangan ng PAGKAIN, AT PAGPAPAGAMOT, AT IBA PANG PAMAMARAAN NG KALINGA. We are hoping to arrest the deaths in the pound which is 1-3 weekly according to the caretaker. To do this , we need: 1. dog food-- LOTS OF DOG FOOD 2. plastic mats. ung iba walang palstic mat. lumulusot paws nila sa malaking butas sa cage. gutom na, di pa makatayo ng maayos. kawawa talaga (may nakukunan si eo 150 daw per mat kasi cavite. sa mall 200-220 pesos ito bawat isa) -- see photo 6 3. we need at least 88 bowls as the caretaker uses the same bowl to give water. which means if a dog has not finished eating the food and the caretaker has to leave, she puts the water in the bowl with food. 4. funds for dogs that will need medical care. we are going to study this matter. we are hoping against hope that there is no dog with distemper. but one dod needs immediate attention: may infection na ang isang eye and sugat sa ilalim at ang dami niyang garapata. please see photos 4 and 5 5. volunteers to feed and bathe the dogs. please comment below or message ana marie cruz and we will bring you together in a group on pound volunteers to discuss what we can do, schedule and all. thanks to ana marie and jonathan for the photos and the report and starting the feeding.
