So, speaking of 2013.... It was another awesome year at one of the most incredible Halloween Events in the world, the OP Halloween Fest! I am so fortunate to be a part of something so wonderful for so many years! In 2001, I was approached by management of Ocean Park and asked to put a makeup team together to come over, and help bring some of our Western Halloween event & Terror on Church Street style haunting to Hong Kong for the first Halloween event of its kind. I had no idea at the time that it would lead to the work I am most proud of in my career so far, working to develop the Halloween Bash/Fest. From that first meeting, it developed into 13 amazing years of designing makeups, characters, & haunts, and directing the event. I am so happy that I was able to share this great experience by bringing some of the best makeup artists in the country onto Team AEO to work the event each year & experience the amazing city of HKG. I have been SO fortunate to work with some of the most talented crew, colleagues, and performers over the years. And, I am so very thankful to all of the Park Management and colleagues who have had us back each year. Ocean Park & Hong Kong have become even more than my second home, as I have spent more time there than in US for the last several years. But, 2014 is time to start another new chapter in my life with other exciting opportunities back here in the US! After these 13 years with the event, I will miss the Park and all the staff greatly, but mostly all my Wonderful, Talented Performers ..(all my children) HA! ! It has been such a privilege to work with you all over these many years, and I have seen so many grow as artists. I am so proud of all your great work, and I hope that I helped you hone your talents in some small way. I know that the event will continue to be an incredible success, and even though I will not be there with you, I will always be the one applauding the loudest for you all!! So, this season, after 13 years abroad, Hong Kongs Father of Halloween will be celebrating the season back in the US.
