So thankful for the life of my 86 year old mother. Having a husband who could not work due to a stroke, left my mother to actually be on her own to raise three girls with very little income.Through those difficult years when the Lions Club and other organizations would bring a basket at Christmas, etc (the stories go on and on)...my mother would display a thankful heart. To help bring in income, she would make homemade bread that me and my sisters would take door-to-door to sell. That is when she taught us tithing. After we would return home, with the bread all sold out, we would divide up the money.It was always God first and we were blessed. I remember clearly how blessed. Whatever, Lord, we lend to Thee, Repaid a thousand-fold will be; Then gladly will we give to Thee, Who givest all-who givest all. Wordsworth
