So that battle was lost but has the war just begun? 1.6 million - TopicsExpress

So that battle was lost but has the war just begun? 1.6 million of my fellow Scots made a statement to Westminster yesterday. The 1.6 have said that we are not happy and will not accept things they way they are, will that stop after this defeat, I say no, at least I hope not. Today the poor are still poor, the homeless are still homeless and the sick and vulnerable are still being being punished for the mistakes of the elite. We can accept this and go back to not caring or we can say no, we will not let this carry on like nothing has happened. Supporters of better together are today celebrating their victory but for me its not a victory for them, this is a victory for fear, a victory for the machine that wealth can mobilise the second it feels threatened, the weapon of choice was that of the media, no one can deny they lied about and twisted every issue in the last 6 months. The yes campaign were told we didnt answer the questions, we feel we did but its difficult to be heard when you dont have a voice. Our only route was social media and Im sure this will continue to play a part in the battles to come. Our voices will be heard and I am sure in the coming weeks, months and years, as we endure the punishment for daring to fight, our voices will get louder as more people come to terms with the lies and broken promises from those in control at Westminster. I am proud of my country, I am proud to be Scottish and the last 24 hours has not changed that. I will continue to fight for what I feel is right and I will continue to fight for independence even if that doesnt come in my lifetime. Over the last months, I have spoken to many socialist from around the UK who felt that we should be standing together and that Scotlands socialist should not abandon them by voting for independence. Well brothers and sisters, we didnt and now we have an army which which to fight, are you going to come out and fight along side us or are we just to fade away and he crushed under the heal of the Tory boot, again. We have shown that you can challenge the system and people from all walks of life can fight together against the inequality in the country. Will you join us?
