So that incredible charity drive started by Sunderland AFC supporters in honor of Liam Sweeney and John Alder, two diehard supporters of Sunderlands fiercely hated rival Newcastle United FC who were killed on MH17 while on their way to New Zealand to attend some of Newcastles preseason matches, has now reached 27,500 British Pound Stirling.... that would be $46,000. That is incredible and goes to show that sport really can unify people for a common good. Immense respect and appreciation for Sunderland and their supporters. I dont care if youre a soccer fan or not, if youve ever traveled to see your team or are just intensely passionate about a sports team like these two men were, I strongly urge you to donate at least a little bit. The money will be going to the incredible Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, the Marie Curie Hospice in Newcastle, and to anther young child left orphaned by the loss of his parents in the tragedy. gofundme/brx6wk
