So the Mystery of the large BOOM heard tonight across Ascension from St. Amant, to Galvez to Hwy 30 is still a Mystery. What ever it was, it shook a lot of homes. We thought we had it narrowed down to a road in St. Amant and a possible house. After further investigation, nothing was found at that home. It did not involve a Industrial Chemical Facility, we have a radio channel with all of them. Nothing there. Leaning right now towards a very serious pipe bomb. It very important that when something like that happens, and it shakes your entire house like this one did tonight, to report it to the dispatch center. That way we can try hard to pin point the exact area where this occurred. Today was not normal, but it effected such a very large area, and not to many people called in. Bottom line right now, no one is hurt, but we have to figure out where those type of explosions are coming from. Be Safe
