So the Pre-Rut has come and GONNERS....no worries...the RUT is upon us here in the MidWest, the Big Boys have found their temporary loves of their life..for now! In my 36 years of chasing MidWest Whitetails, I have been blessed with many opportunities, and also have been blessed with many lost opportunities. Blessed with lost opportunities?? WHY YES! It is those lost opportunities that have taught me to never stop PERSISTING. My first deer I killed was on the last day of Ohios bow season way back in 1984. I not only waited 4 months, I actually tried in earnest for several years previously. I have killed deer pre-rut, rut, post-rut, second pre-rut, second rut, Christmas Day, New Years, late season, etc..etc... You see....as long as there is a deer season..there is ALWAYS that opportunity. To all of my #BirdsOfAFeather who have NOT yet tagged a buck...PERSIST. PERSIST. PERSIST. #ItAintOverTilYouKnowWhoSINGS !! I know....some of you like me have had more downs than ups...but that is BOWHUNTING...soon we will take to the woods and fields with out shotguns, rifles, and pistols...YES, Fred Bear coined the term be a two season hunter....AND, if we still do not have success, some of us in the MidWest do have the luxury of still having a late bow season. I wish each and every one of YOU The Best of Opportunities... Remember, Luck is for Rabbits... [haha, my Daddy used to always say...]
