So the Prime Minister has accepted the resignation letter of Chandradesh Sharma and has so advised the President to revoke his appointment. Now while this was not unexpected neither the PMs statement outlining her commitment to good governance and other words to that effect it is worrisome what the dismissal or resignation of at least twelve of her Cabinet appointments had to leave in disgrace. Her words of what she would not be tolerating in her Cabinet does not ring with truth to me. What she is not stating but should be considering is that these persons were all her selections. I am sure they were made after due consideration of their merits or demerits. I am worried. If the Prime Minister of this country can make such grave errors of judgments as seen by the necessity of resignations or dismissals of twelve of her Ministers can we consider her judgments in other matters not having the possibility of being seriously flawed? Can we trust her ability of decision making even as Chair of our Security Committee? Bearing this in mind and for the assurance of citizens, should the PM not do the Honourable thing and also resign? I call on the PM to seriously consider her duty to this country and in the same manner that we, the People, expected those resignations, so too we expect her to live up to her title of Honourable attached to the title Prime Minister, to resign as Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago.
