So, the assault on people who work for a living continues: having due process rights, so that you are not dismissed simply because the principal dislikes you or you offer an opinion different from that of ones master, turns out to be unconstitutional. A body blow to any professional autonomy. A teacher - or any worker who has only his or her own labor and expertise and passion and commitment to sell - must have NO POWER at all. We must be totally subservient to the lord of the manor. (It doesnt take long to be around a school - or any other place of employment - to see the need for due process rights. If, that is, one is to grant any dignity or freedom to the worker. I know of course that some free market extremists have no concern for actual humans and dont care at all if other people - emphasis on other people - are left with only a choice of starving or accepting anything their master declares. Odd isnt it how much such people bray about the US as the land of freedom when they welcome any and all restrictions on people actually having the power to exercise that freedom.) Facts dont matter. nytimes/2014/06/11/us/california-teacher-tenure-laws-ruled-unconstitutional.html?hp&_r=0
