So the blog is back albeit a short one as the rumbling tumbling-tum continues to plague me. First of all I cannot begin to express the thanks and comfort I got from all the kind wishes for a speedy recovery after my short and unexpected hospital stay.you are all som kind thank you so much. I consumed by an immense pain last thursday morning and found myself fast shunted off to hospital by my GP and of course the rest is history. The fort (yard and home) has been held admirably by all mentioned (in no order whatsoever just as names come to mind) and you are all worthy of medals in my book... so huge thanks to :- Marysia Jozwik, Samantha Millward, Amy Tasker-Andrews, Caz Coombes, Ann Weaver, Pete Andrews, Martin and Lesley Moore and Lucy Wilkinson and Amy Jones and to so many many more who have offered to step in and help out too, thank you one and all. I have to go into hosital again soon for an operation but thats then and this is now. My oh my! Autumn is well and truly here now in Herefordshire.. mud glorious mud! yuck! the slip sliding and soggy and squelchy season is upon us. Wonderful leaves though, fab colours which are awesome across the valley and looking up the Bromyard Downs above us. In the sanctuary - The fat camp are all b*ggers! little escapees! every bloomin day weve had to haul them back in, some or all anyway! This morning Luya and Larry greeted us on the yard along with Eric, who doesnt count because hes uncontainable anyway :D Anton was still fat camp however, with a sore back foot, and so Fred had stayed to keep him company. I have to say they are so easy to get back in that its no hassle really just the fact that theyre out pigging the grass! The old boys are fine, Jim looking better than Beau, but they are doing fine and both are now in lightweight macs overnight for the time being, Teddy is now also in an overnighter as well as he and beanie only have thick hedges to shelter, hes 18 now and being 87% arab blood quite fine coated too. Although we have a lot of grazing weve started feeding hay around a bit, mostly to counteract any pigging out on last flush stuff, they seem to like the new crop of hay so that plan works well. this evening the little ponies were very funny to watch them playing, Eric whizzing around overshot a fast corner and slid over, upset his pride :D Fred and Larry falling out over the treatball but keeping each other moving around while doing it. Eric playing follow the leader with Fred and then little naughty went and picked up the horse ball and frightened Fred as he ran about with it in his mouth !! I did laugh at them. Thats it now.. caught up mostly with what there was to do office wise and now back on track at the yard but having lots of much appreciated help as well as the health dictates.
