So the boys took me to see Superman: Man Of Steel today and i only have two words for that movie.....Ri-diculous... I am so blown away why they sweep Superman Returns under the rug but allow this movie to be made. So many bad things in it... So many times the boys and i laughed out loud. It could have been fourty minutes shorter and gotten the same lens flare, shakey cam, collateral damaged point across. Here are some spoilers because i couldnt care a less and i would rather warn people about it....Zod the great and powerful, born and bred to be a warrior, bested by a scientist in 40 seconds...Jor-El counting on Clark to find a ship that had been frozen for thousands of years....The Phantom Zone which harbours superpowered criminals just turned off when Krypton explodes ( for a race so smart that was kinda dumb )....Zod adapting to Earths atmosphere in a matter of seconds and taking Clark years....the most blatent product placements i have seen in a long time ( the "S" stands for Sears ) .... everthing that was lifted from other movies ( the tripods from The Incredibles, the arms from Doctor Octopus, the pulling of the pilot from the jet from The Avengers ( the list goes on )...Pa Kent and his journey to OZ....the disregard for human life in the yawn inducing last half an hour ( more punching is NOT alway better )....."Release the World Engine" is the new "Release the Krakken" according to Anders...I am just saying that there was more drama and intensity in the plane rescue from Superman returns than in this whole movie.
