So the day after the Presidents speech my 85 yr old mom gets a phone call. Someone, without saying who they were or who they were with, simply asked her IF someone who was gay moved into your apartment building how would you treat them? My mom, was like..I dont know what this is about? I dont understand. She says again, If a gay person moved in how would you treat them? Mom hangs up, thinking it was a prank call. My first thought was that it was prank and yet thinking further, it just might be the government. The current way we operate I can totally see them having some group call and ask this question. My moms apartment building is partially federal subsidized for seniors. SO, IF you use any bit of government money you must be politically correct or they will at best kick you out of your apartment or take you to jail. My mom was totally freaked out. Wish she had used a cell phone so I could call them back. I would have had a few questions for the caller for sure.
