So the full on Wu Tang Clan played Edmonton and I didnt even hear about it till it was over? Heres what I would do if I was advising the Wu Tang Clan: 1. Discontinue all night club touring immediately. You are cult heroes. It is beneath you. You dont see KISS playing night clubs. You are the KISS of hip hop. 2. For three years, continue expanding the Wu Tang Legend in a variety of ways. Books. Appearances on only highly rated television programs. Perhaps a full on Kung Fu movie. Maybe some lunch boxes. No Touring! 3. Just when the market is at its hungriest, announce a full on arena tour. Make the announcement during a high profile television appearance. 4. Create a set that goes like this: Wu Tang Clan classic song, 2 song mini set by one member of Wu Tang Clan, Wu Tang classic song, 2 song mini set by another member of the Wu Tang Clan, and so on, and so on. ONLY HITS. 5. A giant screen with awesome video effects. A Batman style Wu Tang light that can shine bright over the skyline in each city. Uma Thurman comes out and swings swords during the RZA songs. 6. Four words: Old Dirty Bastard hologram. 7. Im not saying to do a McDonalds Happy Meal tie in. But Im not saying not to. 8. Sell out arenas, at $100 a pop. COME ON, youre telling me that Fleetwood Mac can double their ticket price by simply getting Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks on the same stage, but THE ENTIRE WU TANG CLAN gotta play back alley Sallys on two weeks notice? 9.
