So, the last Santa trains of 2014 have been and gone, the fires raked down and burned out, the locos now sit cold and awaiting the new operating season. Thank you to all our visitors in 2014 for making this the museums most successful year yet. The good news is, that our Mince Pie Specials on New Years Day will now be a full operating day with quarry demonstration trains too! So if you want to blow away the cobwebs on January 1st, or just want to see the New Year in with some industrial heritage, do come along and join us. There is now no need to book, just come as you are! There is still the matter of our second DIG IT competition winner yet to be announced, so if you have shared our post from 18th December, stay tuned to see if you have won - and if you havent shared that post yet, then you still have time to do so and be in with a chance to win a place on a DIG IT day in 2015, normally sold at £200.
