So the other day a conversation came up about rotating and how DTW crews dont rotate on domestic trips. One FA around 20 yrs seniority or so said its just not fair that we dont rotate and the junior person gets stuck in the same spot, usually helping with pre departure etc. my response of course was so seniority means nothing? Her, no, its just not fair that junior FAs always get stuck with the worst position. To which I say. Then using that logic, I guess its just not fair that the junior x percentage of a base has to do Adays. The entire system, all 20000 plus of us should all have to rotate and do Adays from month to month. Is that what youre saying? No answer, the conversation ended there. So, like everything else, no consistency, pick and choose where to apply seniority. Sometimes you have it, sometimes you dont. :)
