So the other night I get an email from a childhood friend Ive not talked to since we were both 19. Ive tried to look him up online every 6 months or so, but I could never find him. I wondered if hed passed on. Turns out that he live in San Antonio, and he somehow decided to look me up - when I was actually coming to spend some time in his city for the first time. In short, it was great to see him, and hear how hes spent the last 26 years. It was crazy to remember some old times and be reminded of events and impressions that had long faded. We were often dumb, and sometimes crazy and/or even brilliant. The coolest thing was laughing with him and remembering what he was like as a crazy 10 year old. Sometimes life is surprising.
