So the owners of The Black Cap have (yet again) put in for - TopicsExpress

So the owners of The Black Cap have (yet again) put in for planning permission to destroy the Shufflewick bar and beer garden and turn everything from the first floor up into flats. The cap has been a part of the LGBTQ community for 50 years and holds so much historical and cultural significance within its walls. Literally on the walls of the Shufflewick bar you can see 50 years of drag history from Shufflewick herself and Regina Fong to Sandra and Rose Garden to Holestar and Boogaloo Stu right up to young queens like myself and my wonderful Familyyy Fierce. To take this away for the sake of another flat would be a blow to our community and our history. Please if you have the time help fight it. Theres 4 days left to submit comments on the application and it will take a matter of minutes. Help save the Black Cap so it can continue to provide a space for LGBTQ people and so it can continue to preserve and make history. planningrecords.camden.gov.uk/Northgate/PlanningExplorer17/Generic/StdDetails.aspx?PT=Planning+Applications+On-Line&TYPE=PL%2FPlanningPK.xml&PARAM0=381337&XSLT=%2FNorthgate%2FPlanningExplorer17%2FSiteFiles%2FSkins%2FCamden%2Fxslt%2FPL%2FPLDetails.xslt&FT=Planning+Application+Details&PUBLIC=Y&XMLSIDE=%2FNorthgate%2FPlanningExplorer17%2FSiteFiles%2FSkins%2FCamden%2FMenus%2FPL.xml&DAURI=PLANNING
