So the photo on the left is what I had planned for the arvo in between dropping off & picking up the kids. An office in my car. This was to get a million things done in what has been a very stressful, busy few weeks. The photo on the right is what happened instead for some of the time :) My day started off with an argument with the kids. Then two people pushed in front of me in two different lines at the shops. Then a shopper stood on my foot. Ouch. Today Ive felt angry, sad, guilty, and drained. Ive cried, my heart has thumped way too fast at times, and Ive felt like Im swimming in enough chores and tasks for three of me to be kept busy for a whole week. So I sat. And breathed. And listened to my body. Abd felt the sand between my toes. Time out is what I needed (& still do). A walk on the beach started the healing process. It was a chance for me to get back to nature & ground myself. To give back to ME for all that I give to others. To nourish ME. To gain some perspective & slow down that racing heart beat. We all have bad days. What matters most is how you choose to pick yourself up & keep going. Its about listening when your soul is telling you that you need a rest. You can only truly nourish others if you fill up your tank first. Today my tanks running low, so its time to start filling her up! #NourishYourself #TakeTimeOut #MeTime #Health #FillUpYourTank
