So the same group of people who beheaded dude (ISIS) took a picture of Michigan Ave in Chicago and tweeted we are in your streets. That isnt surprising, Ive been hearing about how different cells of these groups are positioning themselves all over the USA for years. Whats alarming is how bold they are becoming. Yet the US government is disarming its citizens and removing and adding laws while we sleep. I worry not because THE LORD IS MY REFUGE!! He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress my God, in Him I will trust. (Psalm 91:1–2) Everyday from here on out we are going to be bombarded with news of countries in conflict, natural disasters, diseases, and new strains of drug-resistant viruses. We are going to hear more and more of people losing their loved ones in freak accidents. Even with all that I find comfort knowing there is still a place where I can take refuge from it all. God foresaw all these things and He has promised in His Word protection from every evil known to man. There is no trap set by the enemy that my Father cannot deliver me from as long as I trust in Him and take Him as my refuge. That is His promise in Psalm 91. Whether it is an earthquake an unknown virus or a terrorist attack, God says, I dont need to be afraid of the terror by night, the arrow that flies by day, the pestilence that walks in darkness, or of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.” (Psalm 91:5–6) I decided to make Him my dwelling place a long time ago, and because of that I believe angels are watching over me right now!(Psalm 91:9–11) Angels give heed to the voice of God’s Word, so in turn I give voice to God’s Word. This means I agree with and speak what God’s Word says about His preserving and protecting of me. Then, angels are sent to minister for you. (Hebrews 1:14) I used to think and say things like If it can happen to them, it can also happen to me!” But I know better now. These days I say things like, A thousand may fall at my side and 10,000 at my right hand, but it will not come near me! (Psalm 91:7) The world says that I cannot but expect danger all around. God says, “You are in this world but not of this world. You have My protection because you are of Me and in Me.” (John 17:14–23) We can all have access by faith into the secret place of the Most High where no evil can touch us! There is no need to fear living in the end times because the Lord can be your refuge and fortress.
