So the story goes ... 3 incredibly wonderful dog loving women, Adelle Richards, Debbie Renaud McDermott & Madison Twose got together and discussed how wonderful it would be if there was a place people could take their four legged friends for a dog park day without the cold, snow and mud... enter Degroots Nurseries community minded team led by John Degroot ... and the first annual Dog Park Day @ Degroots was launched! With well over 400 canines in attendance, the day was filled with fun, frolicking, ball chasing and a test of endurance with two fun agility courses generously donated by Fox & Hound Canine Retreat, all within the secure small & large dog compounds provided by Bore Fencing. It was a true celebration of the canine community who kindly donated food, toys, treats, and a whopping $1349.53 to benefit the Sarnia Humane Society! And... just when we thought the day could not get any better, 22 very lucky cats, kittens, dogs & puppies were adopted into their new families!! Thank you Sarnia Lambton for your overwhelming support ... WOW!
