So the story goes, Junior was born at the ranch where we bought - TopicsExpress

So the story goes, Junior was born at the ranch where we bought him, raised on pasture with all the other foals. Junior was 2 or 3 when he was sent to a trainer (Friend of the owner) Junior was started in reining and cutting where his career would be. This trainer neglected to notice the injury to Juniors stifle and continued his training. Well, in our eyes that must have been WAY to much HARD riding for Junior, because he never recovered. Junior was penned and left while other stallions took his place. The owner was diagnosed with cancer, then leased out all his mares and stallions to someone and they never made payments nor fed the horses. Once the ranch owner went into remission he went to sort out the money issue, finding his horses in such a poor condition he gathered them up and brought them home. However, the cancer had taken its toll and all these horses need way more care than he can give. So, I contacted this outfit based on the bloodlines of Junior and agreed to make the drive to see him and possibly pick him up. Pick him up is exactly what I did!! Junior is 10, and he deserves to live some kind of life. We immediately wormed and vaccinated him. Started him on all you can eat grass hay and some fatty supplements. We had his feet professionally cared for which has made him tender now on the front end. We will continue to monitor Junior very carefully, he will be 5 panel tested before any breeding begins. Our 1st and foremost is Junior! We want him happy and comfortable. He seems very happy here. We purchased Junior Oct 15, 2014
