So..the sun went down and I amble up to the Friendly Store in search of coffee after an evening of watching tripods get blown over by micro bursts. That was successful and it was getting fairly dark, folks had the lights on the front porches, and I spot some critters just on the edge of town. Turned out to be deer. Normally Id pass up video in this light, but what the hell. Try the new camera. Hand held, zoomed out to 60 x with some post processing brightness and contrast. I think I had it on 60fps , which did not help. Yeah, its a bit noisy with little dynamic range, but still viewable. It was so dark I was unsure if they were elk or deer at first.
