So, the surprises dont end. I knew our oldest son was going to be flying into BWI late last night for his brothers bachelor party down at the bay this weekend, and with him not getting in til the middle of the night, it made sense that he would just go straight to the bay and then straight back to the airport on Sunday night (I even had a copy of his flight itinerary!!!), and that made perfect sense knowing that wed see him next weekend (and we all agreed thatd be fine). Anyway, Friday morning, he texted my hubby to tell him that he got his flight changed and would be getting in around 5:30 and wanted to know what moms plans were for the evening. Dad told him what I was going to be doing, and he tried really hard to delay me leaving our house around 6 (a friend was meeting me at the house and we were going down to another friends around 6:30 for a stampin up evening), but his delay tatics did not work. So, my hubby went to plan b--call her friend and shell help him out :-) So, we are sitting there making cards and my phone rings--and its Tony pretending hes at the Denver airport, which according to my intinerary, thats where he would be at that time, so I politely excuse myself from the table and go into the living room to sit and chat, and while we were chatting, he comes walking into her house!!!!!! Of course I enjoyed the surprise and so did all the other ladies :-) He was like, mom, I couldnt be on the same coast as you guys and not be able to give you a hug. But in all reality, it worked out so much better by me being down in Westminster, MD b/c that was not far out of his way to the bay :-) Im tellin ya, they are going to give me heart attack one of these times!!!!! lol And yes, youd think Id be more on my toes expecting these types of things to happen, but honestly, with the short amount of time he was going to be home and why he was coming back to the area, and knowing wed see him next weekend, I really did not expect to see him since this time was set aside to spend with his brother :-) But getting that nice, big bear hug was really really nice and Ill take one anytime :-)
