So the teaser trailer for Star Wars The Force Awakens is out. There isnt much to go on by it but it seems those leaked Storm Trooper helmet designs are the real thing. Also it was cool seeing the Millennium Falcon in action again. I was half expecting them to show old Han in the trailer. Also that new Sith light saber looked funky. On the other hand given JJ Abrams track record of making divisive films especially in already established franchises *cough* Star Trek *cough*... Im sure more than a few geeks already have fully formed opinions on how good this film is. Which is interesting because a certain pop culture critics (one of which was on Colbert recently to give you a hint) think geeks arent critical enough of things that interest them. Probably because they dont examine it through the prism of the ideology they want them to. But theyre off the mark because geeks are super critical of pretty much everything. Also, they accuse them of not being critical enough but then discourage them from criticizing or applying critical thinking to the stuff THEY say which tend to be either lies or half truths.
