So the trend of turning established Superheroes into minorities, - TopicsExpress

So the trend of turning established Superheroes into minorities, or whatever is going on. As someone who is a minority, find this trend annoying. I mean why not make characters who are minority from the ground up instead of altering regular characters. So what if theyre white? I looked up to heroes such as Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Green Lantern, etc because of what they stood for, not what they are. To me, Spiderman will always be Peter Parker, Clark Kent-Kal-EL will always be Superman, Steve Rodgers will always be Captain America, and etc. I honestly thought killing off ultimate Peter Parker and replacing him with Desmond Miles was kind of a dumb move marvel did to be PC when they could have easily created him as a different character and market him as much as they do the mainstream heroes. Now making someone like the Green lantern into a black guy (John Steward) worked because the Green Lantern is less of a superhero and more of apart of an intergalatic police force, and while I dont know that much about the Ms. Marvel universe, from what Im understanding turning Ms. Marvel into a Pakistani (Kamala Khan) works because their have been multiple Ms. Marvels in the past whos powers also work like the lantern core (given to them by aliens). Anyway what Im saying is, I rather have original minority characters (or at least focus marketing on already established minority heroes) than just taking already establish characters and just completely changing them. Also I want a Black Panther Movie. Tchalla should be played by Micheal B. Jordan. .. Or Idris Elba. Actually Idris Elba would make a better choice for Tchalla.
