So the whirlwind trip to a Seattle Mariners game was a experience - TopicsExpress

So the whirlwind trip to a Seattle Mariners game was a experience I shall never forget. I am very sorry to my cousins Anne Durand, Susie Harris, Kimberly Kay Beckwith for not connecting. I have a myriad of excuses and none of them individually are worth a shiite. Collectively, I beg forgiveness. The reality of trying to drive 20 hours roundtrip, 1.5 hours downtown, 2 hours to get out of Safeco, 2 hours of road construction...blah blah blah...do the math. We were in Seattle for 30 hours. I am very sorry. That said, I learned one very important thing. I love where I live. I love the solitude, the no traffic, the no public park with at least 15 people smoking dope, no pick pockets, (sorry Bristal Smith, we will buy you another set of earrings...I promise) oh and did I mention TRAFFIC? OMG that would make me go postal. For 3 hours in Safeco, I was Dad, Husband, and Friend and that I will never forget, the rest I will drink and try to. Up to this point, I didnt consider myself old, I do now. I heard myself utter sayings that my dear departed father did, hearing my Mom whisper in my ear You live in the last best place and I found myself questioning why ANYONE would do anything other than hunt and fish in the peace and quiet I call home. A huge thank you to Uncle Mark Hickman, who got all of us safely to and from the park, graciously gave Bristal a ball, let us make his house a flop house (albeit briefly) and cooked amazing breakfast both days. I love you brother, you went above and beyond. With that, I am going to pour another Whiskey and look forward to going to work tomorrow....ponder that.
