So then, Ive had a thought....and feel free to slam me down and say HERESY! PURGE! and burn me with the purifying fires of the Emperor, Blessed be his name....also shoot me for Heresy in the first place. So, I get the idea that all the Imperial guard tanks and such are made to be easily replicated and sturdy. However, in the 40k verse, why dont we see things like Hellhounds that are wheeled instead of tracked, or even Guard tanks that have less armour for more speed? I for one would love to see Walker tech develop to the point where we have things like Mobile suits (Gundam, Hawken, Macross, etc), or even to see Hellhounds reduced down in size and made more efficient and effective. I get that the Adeptus Mechanicus would like to avoid sending technology out to the masses and indeed that advancement is a curse (ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY! XENOS-LOVER! *BLAM*) but why dont we see local patterns varying more then just it has a special method of replicating the same effect of 1st gen Vanqs or it has a special bump on the back or even just the crew interior might have more automation
