So then each of us will give an account of himself to God. Romans - TopicsExpress

So then each of us will give an account of himself to God. Romans 14: 12 10 Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; 11 for it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12 So then each of us will give an account of himself to God. The gospel is the same for all. We are saved by grace through the blood and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Confessing our sins and accepting this free gift of salvation with our heart, soul (will), and mind is all that is needed for salvation. Once we are saved all things become new. We can live better, we can touch others; we become light in a dark world. But some of us become holier than thou and judge even our fellow Christians and God is not pleased. The old adage Live and let live applies to our Christian walk as well. We think we are Gods official fruit inspectors. We look at the speck in our brothers eye and ignore the boulder in our own. It is our job to set an example to weaker Christians. It is our job to bring wandering Christians back into the fold with love, but it is not our job to judge our brothers and sisters in Christ. God is the judge. Because we come from different cultures, denominations, backgrounds and have individual personalities we are going to see things a little differently. If we truly want to be what God calls us to be we will not think of ourselves more highly than we ought. We will work on ourselves first and then express love and humility toward our fellow Christians and the world at large. Lord, help me show love, kindness and humility toward others. Amen
