So, there is nothing stopping one remaining in joy. Except the ego. What is does this word ego mean? It is where your concern is, where your energy moves. And it is rather like a sore tooth we cant stop touching. There is no one stopping us from moving our tongue to the tooth, but we still do it. What is it that keeps our energy centred in this ego Sense of I based on an image or feeling of a person? Concern for others opinions, concern that we havent offended someone, concern that we justify our intentions. It thrives on being seen to be right. Notice this, notice where your attention goes to, notice your concerns. Also notice that no matter how much you may try to meditate these concerns continuously stop you. This is why we contemplate some truth: death. It helps clear away this phantom of death masquerading as life we call, I. There is no-self, that is the Self. Your concerns indicate to you your authentic truth, where you are at. Your energy moves to what youre concerned with, so dont try to just meditate them away, contemplate why you are concerned with this AND meditate too. The reality of knowing yourself is the only way. Gain firm conviction that only I can know where my energy lies. Am I trying to portray a spiritual persona? Saying the right things, showing the right other worldly concerns? This is ego, notice this. Notice how you subtly condemn others and on the other side subtly want to bring them to truth. Notice this, this is what takes your energy to ego.. This is all part of not this, not that. It is feeling deeply all the subtle concerns of the energy and where it keeps moving out to. Until what can it move from? Chobo
