So there was a lot of talk and questioning about how old John-117 was when he saved the Corbulo Academy Cadets in Forward Unto Dawn, and I wanted to know too. Some said he was in his 20s, and some said he was in his teens. So I did research. I have a Halo 4 Visual Guide, and so it contains tons of info on all the Halo 4 characters, and heres what I found. Master Chief was born on March 7, 2511. (Which I knew) and Thomas Lasky was born in August 2510. Lasky is one year older than Master Chief. I did the math and found out Chief was 41 in Halo Combat Evolved, since it’s set in 2552, so he is 46 in Halo 4. (though his cryo-rested body begs to differ XD) Master Chief’s current age is 46, and Lasky is 47. Forward Unto Dawn is set 25 years before the Halo Event, AKA Halo CE. The director of Forward Unto Dawn said that the Cadet Academy was for 14, 15, and 16 year olds, and kept referring to Lasky’s troop as 14 year olds, so assuming that Lasky is 15, that means that Master Chief was 14 when he saved Hastati Squad’s butts. Because we know that all Spartan IIs got augmentation when they were 14, so that means Chief would have to be at least 14. Some people were saying how his voice sounded too old to be a teenagers voice, but he could use a voice changing mechanism in his helmet, like Tex did! Haha. Besides, when Kelly and Fred took of their helmets, Sullivan asked them how old they were, and Kelly said, Thats classified. So obviously we know theyre really young. And keep in mind that his Blue Team Frederic-104 and Kelly-087 were there with him in the Pelican at the end of the movie. So this means that saving the cadets at Corbulo was one of Blue Team’s first ever missions. Talk about epic. -Kelly087
