So there we were tackling Ffymylpoort just on the other side of Vioolsdrift when my bike broke down big time. Smack in the middle of the poort with no passing traffic and no comms. We sat on the side of the road for 3 hours being eaten alive by miggies before a good Samaritan finally picked us up and gave us a lift to Springbok. Thank goodness a bicycle shop has recently opened in town. We are sitting in the shop now while the poor overloaded back wheel is getting new bearings and having her rim straightened.
