So theres a very consistent prophetic theory which states the 7 churches of Revelation (chapters 2 & 3) were not only 7 literal churches in the modern area known as the nation of Turkey.... but they were also prophetic (as is much of Revelation) of the future church age, with each church consecutively portending to a church epoch, or period throughout history. And the themes of the 7 churches do seem to align up with what we know from church history. (The years in the chart given are approximates.) 1. Ephesus = Apostolic church 2. Smyrna = Persecuted church 3. Pergamum = Constantine church 4. Thyatira = Dark ages church 5. Sardis = Reformation church 6. Philadelphia = Missionary church 7. Laodicea = Lukewarm church So Revelation 2 & 3 = the church age, as symbolized by 7 churches. And Revelation 4:1 = a very clear parallel experience of the Rapture (which is what we know concludes the church age) So if Laodicea (Rev. 3:14-22) portends to the church age that is predominant JUST BEFORE the rapture (Rev. 4:1) and conclusion of the church age, how do we not connect the dots here? (Revelation 3:17-18), Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed #prosperityGospel #puzzled
