So things are looking much better today. She hasnt been febrile since her fever dropped overnight. She is a tired version of her normally bubbly self today. The plan is for her to go home late this evening after another dose of antibiotics. In case anything in her culture grows we will have to come back, but we are not anticipating that to happen. Dr Grimley came to see her today to save us a trip on Thursday. He said she definitely doesnt look sick, he discontinued all her medicine other than her low dose antibiotic she takes 3 days a week. She will be on that for just a few more months. He also scheduled her port removal!!!! So excited about that, once its gone we wont have the emergency related to fevers like we do now! He said once its out her body is recovered enough to restart all her immunizations! Praise God for this little surprise trip to Cincinnati.
