So this happened. Two nights ago, fairly bad jaw pain and profuse sweating. Didnt give it much thought, other than the fact that it was an odd combination. The next day, still with the jaw pain, although to a lesser degree, so looked it up on the internet (realizing I might scare the bejesus out of myself), and was rather alarmed to discover these symptoms were indicative of heart attack in women. Didnt sleep much, and called the Dr. first thing this morning. No doctor in the office, so saw the nurse practitioner. Long story short, abnormal EKG, and diagnosis of first degree AV block. No immediate heart attack shown, but possible mild one the other night. Need to see a cardiologist for a stress test asap, possibly followed by a cardiac cath to see if theres an artery blocked somewhere. REALLY bad timing for all of this, but thinking positively and taking it one step at a time.
