So this is going to show my age more than anything else Ive probably ever posted. But I just watched the first Fast and the Furious again. First time my son has seen it. (He loved it btw.) Anyway, given recent events, a couple things that happen are a little creepy now and did take me out of the movie briefly. One of which, for example, Brians first car blows up when it gets shot up. But the worst one was before the movie even started. There is a public service announcement done by Walker about driving dangerously. It reminded me of when they had those Yul Brynner commercials that he recorded to be shown after he died from lung cancer. Took me about 5-10 mins to get past it when the movie actually started. Still a great movie though. Id forgotten just how good he was in that first one.
