So this is how my first foray out into the world since I got sick - TopicsExpress

So this is how my first foray out into the world since I got sick went: Drove to Walgreens, they didnt have my medicine but I met the most cheerful and funny clerk ever, who helped me find everything else on my list and cracked me up multiple times in the process! I then proceeded to Crieve Hall to pick up a Christmas gift for one of the kids and when I parked I noticed mass quantities of steam coming out from under my hood and coolant pouring out from underneath! I tried to get home but only made it a few blocks before the temp gauge was pegged on HOT and I knew I had to shut the car off so as not to cause permanent damage... So here I am no make up, hair thrown in a pony tail after being in bed 5 days, no coat, still feeling a bit under the weather( although not contagious anymore) and my car is dead in the middle of the street!! I call AAA, every girls best friend, and they tell me 2 hrs!! Its cold outside yall! 😱 Thats when the sweetest elderly lady came out of the house across the st and offered me her warm pretty blue living room to wait in :) She showed me around and we soon got to talking about houses etc., she has lived in that house for decades she said, such a nice lady! Then I see my budMaryBeth Easlerrrr pull up in front of the house, I had called her for help and she was picking up her son so couldnt come, but she decided to swing by on her way home and bring me some hot tea in case I was cold! What a sweetie!! ❤️❤️ It was then that I noticed two guys walking into the house next door to the one my angel lady had welcomed me into, and I realized that I had broken down right across frPatrick Carrrrrs house and was now being entertained by his sweet neighbor. Patricks oldest son graduated from Hume-Fogg HS with my son Chris and they were best friends! How on earth did I end up next door and not have realized it?! Just goes to show you what a small world it can be! The tow truck driver, Mark, got there an hr before they said he would :) and loaded me and my car on his truck and delivered us home safe and warm, and as he helped me out of the truck he said how pretty I was and how he hoped I had a blessed Christmas.... You know what? I think I already did!! What a great afternoon, such sweet people in the world!! Makes me so grateful!😍
