So this is our new non-profit, already underway. Working with the original organization in CA to stand up a similar program in MEMPHIS. It may have a different name, but will have a very similar structure, charter, mission, etc. I may tweak it a little on the dog side. This organization adopts out their dogs to the general public once they go through the program and are trained by the students. Im thinking of incorporating this with the dramatic need for trained service dogs across the US. Im not sure all these dogs can become top notch service dogs, but Im sure they can be made acceptable for certain people with certain needs. And those that dont make the cut can still be adopted out as pets. Lots of details still to iron out. SOOO, start saving up your dollars and change, because well be asking ALL OF YOU for donations at some point. If youre associated with large companies in the MEMPHIS area (or anywhere) that might donate or sponsor, let me know. If you know individuals who are wealthy and are interested in helping young people, dogs and/or disabled folks and might want to contribute, let me know. If youre really great at fundraising, let me know, I MIGHT HIRE YOU!!! And send me your fundraising ideas! Got lots of money to find before we can begin operations. Wish us luck!
