So this is what U.S. foreign policy has devolved into? A stunt worthy of an SNL or John Stewart skit? Our Secretary of State actually thought it was a good idea to bring James Taylor to Paris to perform Youve Got a Friend as a gesture of our solidarity with France after they were attacked by radical Islamic terrorists? This constitutes smart power and American statesmanship to these people? THIS was supposed to make up for the fact Obama couldnt be bothered enough to not only go himself but at least send our VP to France to march alongside dozens of other world leaders? How are we not the laughing stock of the world at this point? Are there ANY grown ups in this administration who actually understand what American leadership is supposed to look like in the world? Could you imagine Kissinger, Haig, Christopher, Baker, Powell, Rice, ever stooping so low? Thomas Jefferson is spinning in his grave.
