So, this just happened right before my eyes at this magical place called Chicago OHare....a young mother with three small children, Im going to guess ages 5, 3 and less than 1, approached the gate next to mine in a panic, asking if their flight had left. The United Airline attendant informed this young, panicked mother that the doors had already been closed and that she needed to have arrived 15 minutes prior to departure. (At this point, I looked out the window and can see her plane). She becomes visibly upset, and the two oldest kids begin to cry, the approximate 5 yr old says hes scared. The attendant then tells the young mother there is nothing he can do. Question---if you were this attendant and faced with a similar situation, what would you have done??
