So this morning I made the decision to block off Monday afternoons - TopicsExpress

So this morning I made the decision to block off Monday afternoons so that I can have time to sit and plan things out for my coaching and in-person clients. My schedule is pretty much saturated and I have several projects that I am wanting to get finished. I believe its easy to schedule people into your day, because hey, thats what we do as trainers...but when we start forgetting that we need time for ourselves, thats when things can go downhill. The past couple of months have been nothing but awesome and I am very happy with how my clients are doing, but I was progressively feeling more and more overwhelmed with a lack of free time. I was coming home around 7pm needing to knock out more work for the following day, and that was just bananas. I am a planner and believe in structuring my clients programs so that makes things easier in terms of knowing what we are doing workout to workout (besides random stuff thrown together, which can sometimes be a very good thing, within reason)...but it is simply not fair for someone to come home from a long day and have to sit and work (even though my work doesnt feel like work) when its time to unwind. Im learning that if I want to get more accomplished, and do so in a manner that makes me feel very proud of myself, I must make some sacrifices. This doesnt mean I must sacrifice my sanity. :)
