So this morning Jesus spoke to me regarding spiritual attacks. Spiritual attacks come hidden, they are sometimes quiet, but whispered. They come in may different forms. Financial, health ( mental and physical), temptation,, family, gossip,fraudulent people. There are so may forms of attacks, I can not even begin to list them all. But lets just marinate a minute on the whisperers, the ones that feel that they know best, the ones that point the finger and judge and blame. Lets talk about the spiritual attacks Satan uses for those that love you to your face and can not wait to wag their tongue to others. ( …22The words of a whisperer are like dainty morsels, And they go down into the innermost parts of the body. 23Like an earthen vessel overlaid with silver dross Are burning lips and a wicked heart. 24He who hates disguises it with his lips, But he lays up deceit in his heart.…They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips) This has got to be one of Satans favorites! I say this because of the pain that comes with it. Jesus wants us to always offer forgiveness. Even to those we feel take advantage of it because they feel owed or entitled to have our forgiveness regardless of what they say and do. They can also spin it as respect. For a period of time it may seem as if someone is taking advantage of you. But if you keep your eyes on God and continue to worship Him, keeping your conversation in line with His Word, in the end God will reward you and bring justice because, he is a God of justice. God doesnt judge us based on somebody elses obedience, He judges us based on our obedience (to His Word). God is our Vindicator ( Job 19:25). As long as we behave properly toward others—even when they come against us or do not understand us—God will reward us for being steadfast toward Him. When we hurt or have been hurt, its important not to let the pain go on and on by having a bitter attitude. We hurt only ourselves when we hate people. Our job is to pray; Gods job is to be our Vindicator! When we trust God, he always makes wrong things right in due time. Satan loves to steal our peace, and joy. If he is allowed to steal our peace and joy, that opens the door for him, and he will bring seven of his friends! We are not fighting a physical war, our enemy is not the person we see but the spirit behind it. Either through financial attacks, health, of family. Through the blood of Jesus I am grateful and rejoice in the fact that the God offers me forgiveness. And it is through the blood I can and will forgive. God told me today that forgiveness is an act of my will - we may not feel different immediately, but God will heal our feelings. Allowing anger to fester and fuel up inside us paves the way to sin. Proverbs 5:18 . Yesterday God directed me toward his armor. Today, God took me in the direction of things to do during these attacks. Not just some of them, but ALL of them.Stay filled with the Holy Spirit and depend on His direction - His wisdom will give you the spiritual understanding to walk it out: If we listen to God during this spiritual attacks, it can be an opportunity to grow. Jesus is looking for those who will do whatever needs to be done. A smile, courtesy, a small kindness, taking time to listen, understanding, sending a thank you card, keeping your word, being inconvenienced in order to help, showing interest in what interests others, praying for people, sharing, cleaning up someone elses mess and keeping quiet about it, offering help and not bragging, or gossiping about it. Getting to Wednesday church early to help prepare the food, staying late to help clean it up . We can reach out to people around us (during our own battles) through simple acts of love & kindness, every single day! Through the storms, through our spiritual attacks! Lord I trust your hand and the shaping you are doing in my life.Who he is making me into is so much more important than the doing that others expect of me!!!
