So, this morning was rough, but funny. I wasnt scheduled to do lights for the services. But I got to the church early with the expectation of finally getting to spend some time reading and having a cup of tea. But the cafe was full, so I went to the chapel to read. But when I got there, Pastor Rob told me, maybe 10 minutes before the service was supposed to begin, that the person scheduled to do the lighting didnt show up! Preparing the lights is something that takes about 30 minutes to do, done right. So I had to manually do the lighting as each song started up, which was so janky and bad, but no one noticed, thankfully. THEN, as the sermon started and I wasnt needed, I left to go get coffee. On my return, I see Amber Hook, a good friend of mine, standing in the doorway, and standing in a way where one knee was locked and her weight was primarily on that leg. Being the devious friend that I am, I came up behind her and pop her knee so she lost her balance! Its always funny! A great party pleasing prank! It wasnt Amber. It was someone I had never met. Whispering, I profusely apologized and explained that I thought she was a friend of mine! Thankfully, she was really cool about it and said, Its okay, but is that how you say hello to everyone? I replied, Only to the people I know! It wad awkward, but funny. It could have been much worse.
