So this morning we had a small glitch thrown in our expectations of what was going to take place.... WE had it explained to us this morning that there are two different types of rejection... the simple type and the complex type.... unfortunately there has never been anyting simple about this beautiful young lady.... She is going to have to endure a little more change then we had originally planned. She will be in the hosiptal for another week, getting more intense treatment then we had thought. She is in what they call an anitbody rejection rather then a cellular rejection. The treatment for this consist of a little more then just steriods. She will have a hemo port placed on tuesday so that we can begin an aggressive treatment to remove the bad antibodies and reprogram her cells to not attack the foreign object (kidney) in her body. As Erika put it in lamen terms..my kidney is a virus and my body is trying to attack it! Still again the prognosis is good, we caught this early enough that at this time there is no scarring only irritation. Function should increase once hemo-phorysis gets started.... this will be an ongoing process for a couple months. We hope that once all is said and done that she will be able to maintain as always. Her physical ability and everything else remains as is... she is capable and able so she can!! Many prayers for a speedy recovery requested... visitors aloud between 10:00 to 8:30. Thanks for all those that continue to share her story and continue to pray.... Good vibes and lots of Love can heal anything..... we remain positive and ready to fight this fight to get her back on track and going as strong as ever!! xoxoxo
